'Ol-Nuk-Kaut-Suay' 191008

GCF social again!
This time, out of Nan's hospitality, more than 10 of us went to crush at her place for Burmist Noodle, pronounced something like 'Ol-Nuk-Kaut-Suay'.

So, what's Ol-Nuk-Kaut-Suay? it's basically, boiled spaghetti, onions (yes, limzhi, lotsa onions), deep fried kuey tiao (was quite disappointed, thought it was keropok ikan), chili seeds, with santan chicken soup. almost everyone had seconds, either everyone's hungy, or the food is too yummy.. i believe it's the later.. =)

It was really a satisfying meal with so many people brought cakes for puddings! Chocolate-poisoned!! X)

England Jersey

Yes, i know i'm not a football fan. The only time when i watched football match is the 2002 World Cup. We were in a rented apartment in KK where the men in the house dying to keep the TV remote control from the ladies.
But, i bought England Football Shirt for myself and my dearest brother today! surprise, surprise...

Got myself an age 13 size, not because i'm small, but the size S is a bit too long and it has no number on it.
BUT, apparently (according to our princess), Terry is not a fantastic player. hmm, is he really no good? shall i change the jersey? there are a lot of jerseys No.6 available in the shop, does it mean that he ain't that popular, that he has not many fans? hmm.....

Went to my 2nd yoga lesson just now. During the last relaxation session, we were told to let our bodies to melt into the mat, lights were off, and i really can't feel or think clearly. i'm not sure if i'm too relaxed, or i'm just too sleepy.. XP

Last night was MalSoc's Deeparaya Celebration. We had pot luck.
Our house, being super lazy (actually it's what maha and i do for every meal), got some frozen food from Iceland.. Super instant! huhu...

Fire!

(081008, 6pm, Newcastle Croydon Road)
Resident of 172 Dilston Road, PFeng caught black smoke from their kitchen and thought that the house behind theirs was on fire! they went upstairs to have a better view of what's going on...

It looked like the house owner was burning logs at his backyard but that was quite unlikely as the fire was about a floor high and who would do open burning here where fire precaution is their 1st priority. the lady next door was really alarmed...
Within few seconds, the firemen came to the rescue!



(The firemen were actually laughing and smiling.. probably they got too bored with the countless false fire alarms, finally something real...)
After the fire was extinguished, what remained from the fire looked like the metal frame of a motorbike. Further investigations would be carried out to find out the cause of the fire...

Flood

After an evening of downpour, this is what happened to our lorong midaq...
Thought that newcastle would be flooded and we can have a day off.. haih... =P

why suffer?

Received a bad news during lunchbreak. My friend's sister passed away from leukemia.
It's really sudden and shocking as the sister is only in her late twenties..
Really din know how to comfort her as i've never encounter such a great and painful suffering.

In 2 Corinthians 1:3-6, it's stated clearly why we suffer...
Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, with the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God. For as we share abundantly in Christ's sufferings, so through Christ we share abundantly in comfort too. If we are afflicted, it is for your comfort and salvation; and if we are comforted, it is for your comfort, which you experience when you patiently endure the same sufferings we suffer.
